Is this more serious then the doctor thinks?

I went into the doctors office on Thursday for a bad eye infection (Result of not cleaning out a contact thoroughly enough) , I even had pain on the right side of my face, right in front of my right ear, on my jawline when you put pressure on it.He gave me drops and told me to come back on Saturday, to see how they have worked. It reduced the swelling in my right eye and some redness, but it did not get rid of the infection. In fact, by Friday night, I had pain that traveled down to my neck. I then started having pain on the other side of my face and went to go check, realizing my left eye was becoming red and there was pain on the left side if my face. I received antibiotics and my eyes have become alot better but I have a swollen throat and its painful when I try to eat. When I open my mouth fully, I have a sharp pain on the right side of my mouth. (top teeth) It is difficult to sleep and Ive been drinking tea with honey like crazy to sooth my throat. I also been coughing really bad and have alot of flem and my nose is stuffy. I also have a fever now. Is it serious?
