Do I have whooping cough?

My mom got sick a couple days ago, and a few days after that I got sick too. She's pretty much better now, but I had a stuffy nose, and now I have a really bad cough. Is it whooping cough? I don't seem to hear the "whoop" noise after I cough, but I think I have all the symptoms of whooping cough, occasionally I get hot while coughing (fever), I had the common cold, and the dry cough. But sometimes I have flem, or liquidy stuff in my mouth after I cough. I'm just very concerned, what should I do?
