If you look at the earth and it's ability to harbor life, you will see that humans crossed that threshold a long time ago. The truth is, the earth does not have the ability to provide for 7 billion people. If you look at the effect humans have had on the parts of earth that is human, you will see that it is not just humans that are dieing daily, there are millions of species who's population's are dropping at ridiculously fast rates. In my opinion, the earth is going through a mass extinction like it did in the day of the dinosaurs. I do not think that all humans will die, but I think most of them will. The only survivors will be the ones with enough money to keep them and their families alive. The best hope we have for the future is to learn from our mistakes. We need to understand as a species with 7 billion people, we need to be very careful about the decisions that we make and the effect that they have on our planet and on ourselves.

two days ago I woke up to go to school and my throat was dry and it was hard to talk then a few minutes later my throat was sore and filled with a lot of flem. the next day the same thing happened like yesterday, but I also had a stuffy nose and couldn't breathe and I sneezed and coughed. but I still went to school, but I don't know why I went because I felt really tired and my nose was runny. Alright, if you are doing it for training purposes, I would wear the board shorts. It cause a lot of "drag" which makes your muscles work harder and increases your endurance. Even competitve swimmers wear "drag suits" (a baggy type of suit) over top of their speedo when they train. If you are in a race though, it would be best to go with the speedo only to reduce the drag and lower you times.

I am in no way a doctor nor am i going to prescribe something like that for you. However I have the same symptomes and have been taking claritin or any other type of allergy medicine early in the morning. I switched to a vegetarian diet. I excercise. I try to eat right. I take two advil at night to ease headaches. I also drink chamomile tea at night to soothe and relax without medicine involved. Also how old are you? Are you underweight? I am young and underweight and am constantly losing hair and being cold and having headaches. Also your thyroid might be slightly off. Some of the symptoms are : cold hands, losing hair, hard to gain or lose weight, headaches, naseau. And it generally just messes with your body. I would recommend just going to the doctor and getting tested for things. Try not to leave out any symptoms or problems you might have.

Alaskan Malamute ear infection help?

My Malamute has a bad ear infection in one ear and needs to be washed and ointment applied twice a day. The vet did it today in the morning and I tried just now for the night but he freaks out and bit my finger so I had to stop because I couldn't get him calm. He has never bitten before and has only had problems with resource guarding in the past. What should I do to apply his ear medicine? Buy a muzzle and pin him down and apply it? I feel like that would damage his trust in me.

My dog hacks, is this something I should worry about?

My throat was hurting?

Last night my throat was hurting and I didn't feel well. I get strep throat all the time, so it seemed like i had it again and it was not strange for my throat to be hurting. Oh and btw I went on this school field trip (a 2 day over night thing) and when i came home i had a very runny nose, a flem cough, and a sore throat. I had an ingrown/infected toenail (lol a lot of problems yeah yeah yeah, i know) and i had to take pills for it. The day before yesterday they had been making my sore throat feel better as well as my toe. But i stopped taking them the day before yesterday, so last night my throat started hurting. I am only 13 and i go to bed at liikee...11 each night. I don't know if this is "not that bad" or whatever but I realllllyy need my sleep, but i hate going to bed. Last night my throat was hurting bad, not like the strep throat kind tho where it is all sharp pains when u swallow, it is like my throat was too hot and it was being like pushed out from the inside and, stretched sort of you know? I took Motrin last night and it made it feel better. Well this morning I woke up and i still wasn't feeling well. I told my parents and they said it was okay for me to stay home. I went back to bed and slept for 4 more hours...until now. I woke up a few minutes ago and my throat was feeling fine. It didn't hurt to swallow, although i still do have aches and pains. So...what was wrong with me? Please help....was it wrong for me to stay home? How to remove a trunnion which is stuck in a Frigidaire washer?

I am trying to fix the leak problem from the tub seal of my frigidaire washer. Using resources availble in internet, I was able to remove the inner tub. It took a whole day to remove the inner tub even after removing the 5 bolts holding it due to the buildups. After removing two bolts and a metal plate, I was trying to remove the trunnion to access the tub seals. Unfortunately, it is not comming off. I tried WD-40, hammering, twisting and everything I can think of. This is quite an old washer which has some stuffs (like detergent) turned to a cement. I am wondering why professional guys would do this: trunnion removal. Are there any better chemical than WD-40? Please help me on this. I am very desparate. Thanks.

PROZAC AND HEAD ACHES?

ive been taking prozac for almost 3 weeks. i was put on this for anxiety. i got started off with 10mg for 2 weeks i noticed a small improvement with anxiety. got some tension head aches because i also stop taking lorazepam. i was only taking .5mg and not often tho. it kinda makes me dizzy like a slight drunk feeling. then he had me take the whole pill 20mg 4 days ago. it didnt do anything but on friday i felt slighty dizzy kinda more then before. and last night i got a head ache at the top of my head at the back it goes to the front. its somewhat similiar to a tension head ache but hurts a lil more.i mostly feel it in the back of my head and my nose for some reason. besides a lil diahhrea, like barely. ive been feeling dizzy and kind of getting the aora like sometimes when i close my eyes i see stuff. but i had that before with the anxiety. and i noticed my reflects are more responsive. no fever. a lil flem in my bronchiolar tube nothing bad. wondering what would cause you to have this and a head ache for almost 24 hours. sometimes i wont notice my head ache for 5 minutes. could this be allergies serotonin symdrom anxiety the prozac or sumthing else. im 19 a heavier kid. help me out

I had to get a TB skin test about 2 weeks ago for a job and the test came back positive so they gave me a chest x-ray and that came back negative. About 2-3 months ago I was sick for a week then two weeks I was fine then I got sick for a week and I was fine for two weeks I got my TB test when I was getting over my cold and I dont know if I'm being a hypochondirac or what but I started coughing about 2 days ago. I havent made an appointment to meet with a doctor about getting on the meds for the latent TB but I called today & the office is closed. I dont have any of the other symptoms. I'm not coughing up flem or anything its just an itch in my chest and I keep coughing. I took a cough drop and it didnt stop the cough for a second. I just took some cold medicine so I'm going to see what that does but does this sound maybe like active TB. PLEASE HELP!

Whats wrong with my throat?

Well, I had a sore throat for the past few days, And like I been having these for like 6 times each year. My last cold was in September 2010, and its June 2011 now. But I went to an Emergency today. And my doctor was a short Asian (No offense to some people.) and he ended up feeling my throat and everything, checking inside my mouth. I told him everything. Yesterday, I wasn't feeling to good, I felt like I was having a bad cold and a fever at the same time with a migraine. So I wrote down all the things that happened to me and I showed the doctor. I told him, the day before, I was dizzy, I had the signs of both a cold and fever, and I had aching legs, the migraine that made me cry badly, the sore throat / mouth. and Runny / Stuffy nose, Etc. It was just horrible yesterday. Now today when I went to the clinic place he told me to open my mouth and say "Ah" So I did as I was told and he shoved this weird looking two Cotton swab thing shoved together looking thing in my mouth. It hurt my mouth so much. I started gagging and I felt like spitting up flem. So I told me to wait there and I did for 2 hours. I see him going for lunch break and everything. So finally I was about to walk out, and he comes around the corner saying I have to wait again. I complained that I was thirsty and hungry. So he said he wasn't finished with me yet. So finally he comes and says it was negative? Is that a good thing or bad thing cause I'm worried. And he gave me pills that look like they'd last for 2 weeks, and he said he wants to see me again before school starts. So like, should I go back or what? Like whats wrong with my throat? Is it normal. A nurse said I had red spots on the roof of my mouth too, And I was told my throat was red in the back. So I wonder if I should consult this with my family doctor or just leave it be. But ever since that cotton swab thing was in my throat its killing my throat more. And I should add that when I was walking today I felt dizzy, and I felt like puking, I wonder if I should see the same Doctor and tell him what happened to me after I left the hospital, I also had head aches. Why does my throat feel so slimey?

I was riding my bike on Saturday and something flew down my throat. Now, Tuesday, I believe what ever went down my throat is gone. However I noticed my throat feels very slimey. Irritated throat days after running?

2 days ago I ran ashly for the first time in months and it was pretty wet and cold out, and ofcourse I felt dead after...later that day my throat felt irritated like theres flem or something, but when I clear my throat it doesn't really help. I live in California. I have contacted my local Public Defenders office and they say I do not qualify. There MUST be some way I can get these off my record so I can seek more gainful employment and restore my broken marriage. My wife is insistent that the crimes are off my record though she knew about them before we were married; I was given false information years ago by my public defender that the process would not be hard to get them expunged, in which I passed that information on to her when we were still dating. Though the best case scenario would be that the love my wife had for would be so great that something like this wouldn't matter, unfortunately thats not the case right now and I KNOW God brought us together and I am tryng to make sense out of all this and I have to believe that there is some way to make these felony's disappear. Though I pray that God softens her heart and something like this won't matter, I still have to try whatever I can and exhaust all my resources. I am off probation, I only served county jail time, I have paid all my restitution and I have not not been convicted of anything since. These crimes were strikeable offenses and I did receive strikes (you cant strike out on 1 case). I have a 17 year suspended sentence. There has to be something I can do, no matter how bad my chances may seem, to get these off my record. I was looking at 20-35 years in prison and by the grace of God alone, I only served county time. There has to be something that california law, some exemption, some loophole or special circumstance? Joining the Army Reserve perhaps? Really I am open to all suggestions. From what I understand, the 2 most common dismissals, though I'm not sure of the penal codes, the public defends office says I do not qualify for. Thanks in advance.

I went into the doctors office on Thursday for a bad eye infection (Result of not cleaning out a contact thoroughly enough) , I even had pain on the right side of my face, right in front of my right ear, on my jawline when you put pressure on it.He gave me drops and told me to come back on Saturday, to see how they have worked. It reduced the swelling in my right eye and some redness, but it did not get rid of the infection. In fact, by Friday night, I had pain that traveled down to my neck. I then started having pain on the other side of my face and went to go check, realizing my left eye was becoming red and there was pain on the left side if my face. I received antibiotics and my eyes have become alot better but I have a swollen throat and its painful when I try to eat. I need help with anxiety and allergies, please help!?

Ok so for about the past two months now, (march 5th), it hasn't been going well at all. Something happened at my friends house, we were in his basement which has a dog, and i started to not be able to breathe. His mom made me take his inhaler for dogs and we went to the hospital. When I went there, they told me nothing was wrong with me. A week or two ago, I asked my dad to take me to the hospital again because of chest pains. AGAIN the doctor says absolutely nothing is wrong with me. X-rays were done, I was listened to for wheezing, and of course nothing was wrong. Prior to my second visit, is when everything got REALLY bad. I had panic attacks as a child and now they're coming back. This time, 10x worse. The main thing that is triggering them is my allergies, because i feel like they're going to make me suffocate or something silly like that. I have not been to an allergen yet, and have not been FULLY tested for asthma, but I was given an inhaler. Yesterday at school, I had nasty dry mouth all day. I mean to the extent where i was distracted every period 3 times or more worrying about drinking water. There were times when the dry mouth got really bad, and I literally could not swallow until running to a water fountain. I hoped this was a one time thing, I thought wrong. Today during 4th period, i started getting dry mouth. No problem, i would simply get a drink of water at the end of the period. All went well, but then i got to chorus class. Not only did I take a girls water bottle to refill for myself, but i was drinking it the whole time we were singing. Then, towards the end of the class, i started getting an excessive amount of phlegm (flem) in my throat. If i tried to hack it up and spit it out in a trash can or something, i would not be able to swallow after i did that and would cough crazily till i got water. I went to the nurses office where she took pretty good care of me, told me to take my inhaler, which virtually did absolutely did nothing. I drank , what i calculated to be close to a gallon of water in approximately an hour, and i was NOT dehydrated before this. Its getting scary at this point, and when my parents picked me up to take me home, it wasn't any better at home. I drank water all afternoon and have used the restroom to go pee at least 7 times. Why am i getting this dry mouth? How is the phlegm so serious that i feel like i can't breathe or swallow at times? WHAT SHOULD I DO? NO DOCTORS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HELP ME AND I REALLY DO NEED HELP. Someone please tell me what to do. Thank you

monday i noticed my puppy wasn't acting normal turning away treats and food in general, so i took him to the vet. we did a couple different test main one parvo. What is wrong with my voice? Please help!?

I am a male, 15 years old and I believe I'm going through puberty but the average voice change is definitely not occurring. A little over a year ago, perhaps at the beginning of the change, I noticed I would always get flem, then a couple months later the flem cooled down but I could not talk loud at all, and now it's terrible. I can not talk loud at all, without sounding horrific. people have asked me if I'm sick, flat out ask me what's wrong with my voice and even I'm a little baffled. Also , I have never really had a deep voice but now in order to talk a little louder and to avoid extreme breaks and cracks I have to talk at a higher pitch. It very embarrassing. When girls imitate me just playing around, they higher their own voice to mimic mine. And when on the phone with like costumer service they call me ma'am. It's terrible. I have been playing the sick card for to long I think I have a problem. Or hopefully it is puberty. But it's coming to far in the way of life. Can anyone explain exactly what this "ground speed" refers to on a flight? Is it the speed the car would need to travel at in order to keep up with where the plane is flying directly above despite mountain roads etc making travel time a lot slower on the ground? Is it how fast we are travelling between one point on the map and a directly straight line to the other point despite mountains etc being below? What exactly is it?

My best friend and I...?

Decided that we should go to the park. My best friend, Catalina, she fell into a deep hole that a nearby gardener was working on. I decided to jump down and I fell in to. The gardener was like "Hey! Getting correct medication frustration?

I was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder and depression in 2007 when I was 19 years old. I'm not sure if I gradually starting exhibiting symptoms my last year of college since it was the earliest I can remember having symptoms. I never had behavioral problems until I was 19 either. I straighten out after a year and half and decided to go to college. In the town that I go to school in, in the midwest there's really good resources for people with mental health illnesses and concerns. When I first got here I thought that I could handle myself without any medication but after a year and a half I hit rock bottom and after 2 hospitalizations I was referred to the mental health center in town where I began seeing a therapist and psychiatrist. I really liked my therapist but my psychiatrist really frustrated me because she never listened to my symptoms and side effects and from one day to another she would take prescriptions away. It got the point that I broke down and had to be hospitalized for a week because I went 2 weeks without sleeping. I gave up going back to there and started smoking marijuana on a daily basis to self medicate. A year and some months later I really feel like I need to be medicated before my symptoms get worse. On top of everything I've explained to her in the past that I really could not concentrate in class and she said it was my bipolar disorder affecting my concentration but no matter how much dosage of mood stabilizers or antidepressants she gave me, I still wasn't really suffering in class. I just want a low mood stabilizer to balance out my moods a little. I've gotten adderrall from a friend in the past and I was actually able to concentrate in class and get so much homework done and remember what I studied and read but I don't want to use it under does conditions. I'm going to call tomorrow to set up an appointment but Im afraid I might end up with the same doctor who will not no concern about what I'm feeling or experiencing. I've taken a ADD assessment that overwhelming showed that I had ADD and I've seen multiple doctors that have diagnosed me with the depression and bi-polar...is there anything I can do to make them actually listen to me? I just want to live a normal life despite my mental illness.

1 year old swollen tonsils?

I went to the doctor today because my daughter has been eating really horribly. She has acid reflex, so I thought this could be the cause and her renitadine dose just needed changing. The doctor took a look at her throat and her tonsils are inflamed. It causes her to not want to eat, get stuffed up nose which causes her to get flem in her throat. Now that I think about it, she has had a stuffed up nose at least once a month, sometimes two times a month. Which means she has been having inflamed tonsils for a good couple of months now. What could be causing her to get inflamed tonsils. Could her acid reflux be causing it? people smoke in my house, but only a designated smoking room, never ever around her or anywhere the smoke could get out. My Dog has been throwing up? black mold?

Child throwing up stomach acid?

7 month old, has cough and flem?

my 7 month old has a real bad cough, running nose and flem. Because of his age, is doctor did not prescribe him with any medication for his cough and runny nose. He recommended putting him on a breathing treatment but i feel bad seeing my baby on that machine three times a day. Is there anything else I can do at home to ease and help him with the flem and cough? I do the baby rub day and night. Anything else that someone might recommend that would help??? I am desperate to help my baby get rid of that cough, flem and runny nose :(

How to fix this computer?

I'm pretty good with computers, and i went to my grandmas house this week and while im here i've been fixing up everyones computer, and my aunts friend brought her laptop over and i heard it was kind of slow and everything, but i figured it could manage. It's horribly slow, has about 115 processes and cpu spikes from now and then. Was going to install malwarebytes/ Avast Internet Security/Ccleaner, and clean it all up, but it won't even connect to the internet. She has Vista, and the start menu looks different and i can't really find find my way around to a good scanner. (found HP health check, but gave me nothing, and screen went completely white while looking through the resource monitor) If anyone can help me diagnose the internet problem, that would be great. Or possibly a way to put a program on it without connecting to the inernet would be even better. Just ask if you need more information, any help would be appreciated thanks

Ultimate Frisbee! It's fun and requires teamwork and communication skills. All you need are 7-15 people split into 2 teams, a Frisbee, and a simple soccer field to play on. Each team is on either side of the field. One team will throw the Frisbee as hard as they can to the other team, and the other team will try to get the Frisbee to the other side of the field. The person holding the Frisbee can only take two steps, and must throw it to another teammate. If it lands on the ground, the opposing team will take possession of the Frisbee. Other players can interfere with the pass as long as they don't slap it out of the player's hand. It is fun, gets the youth good exercise, and teaches good communication and teamwork skills! It's a game that my youth group played all the time when our lesson plans got shot down. :)

What are some good resources for an author working on their first book?

Someone suggested the book A Writer's Book of Days: A Spirited Companion and Lively Muse for the Writing Life by Judy Reeves, because I tend to suffer with writer's block frequently. I've been working on the same book for a long time now and I just keep reading over it and deleting 2/3 of the book and re-writing it. Maybe I'm just too critical of my own writing or something, but I'm determined to finally see this thing through to the end, even if it isn't published anywhere except through Amazon for Kindle or a similar source.

I could have surgery but it is too risky because the problems are on my spine and doctors do not like to do surgery too close to the spine because too many problems can come up, like something going wrong, and me ending up paralyzed.

I took Mucinex a little while ago because I woke up with severe chest congestion yesterday and can't breathe. My daughter has a doctors appointment. On may 4th but I'm starting to get worried about her. She's always been a quite baby but for the past 3 days she's been sick she's got. a wet cough that rattles in her chest I can here it with my ear against it or holding her on my lap. Fever. Ver very cranky. Wont sleep today she wouldn't hardly eat. Two 4oz bottles her normal. to my lungs, a little part of it, or I was imagining. I was holding my baby and multitasking and eating fries and feeding baby. A little part of the fry went in my wrong throat, and I was either imagining it slid down there or it really went there because i was coughing immediately. Then I was breathing fine, but a little panicky because I kept coughing but not vigourously. Then I read online in yahoo itself, yahoo answers, that when this happens, if you are choking you cannot breathe at all, and stuff does go down the wrong throat, or your lungs. I also read one guy had an m and m down his lungs and his body absorbed it. Then I read that some people said it went down the esophagus only, where you eat food, and stuff cannot go down your lungs without your body coughing it out. Then I read about pnumenia and how you can get some aspiration pnumonia. So I am wondering, what are the symptoms of aspiration numonia and how soon do they occur if you are choking? Because I am not getting any bubbly flem or pain in chest while breathing or trouble breathing, however, it is 1 and 1/2 hours later, and my coughing has gone down a great amount, by 70%, which is good news, and I am breathing better. The only symptom I am experiencing is an irritated throat, but it's not painful like a sore throat. it is just irritated, and sometimes when I am talking I suddenly break the word. But I feel like I am almost 100% recovered from this incident. When I first swallowed the fry and started coughing, the coughing was more intense. Now it is like five coughs in one entire hour. Plus, I am pregnant. I have enough sense to check into the emergency room, however, I do not believe I am choking. My main question is if a fry goes in my lungs, and a tiny portion of it, not the whole thing, then will my body keep coughing and not be able to breathe? Because i have been able to breathe just fine, just coughing a little. One other person thought they were choking and a lady said just gulp down water. Please tell me what you know and please remember, I have enough sense to know I am not choking, but I just want to know is there a fry in my lungs, what symptoms will tell me there is, or am I being ridiculous because people do not survive long with stuff in their lungs, no matter how big or small
